How did Geography play a role in Rome's origins?
Rome is in Italy which is a peninsula. The landscape of Rome is very similar to Greece. The people who settled in itally were not split up into small, isolated communities as the greeks. Italy also had great farming.

The Tiber river was important because it connected to the Mediterranean Sea which allowed for trade and different cultures to come into rome. Also Rome was built on 7 hills to protect themselves from invaders.
